About Aus-requiem

In Character Basis of List:
This list is designed to be a an electronic mailing list, served by a network independant of the internet. Kindred are to connect to the network
by dialing into nodes into each of the capital cities within Australia. A security token is required as part of the login process, this token is available from the List-Mod.

Alternatively Kindred can visit 'Data Heaven' if there is one in their Cities. Data Heaven is a chain of 24 hour Internet Cafes/Fax/Copy/Lan Gaming Stores. Kindred (or thier Ghouls) leave/collect messages in the form of faxes.

The Nexus for the network is based in Adelaide, with a redundant server in a remote server in NSW. Each server is powered by mains electricity, but also has a series of UPS' that provide for 48 hours of power prior to shutdown. When there is any disruption to Security measures in place an automated email and SMS are sent to the listmod and his nominated successor (email addresses: X@Y.Z and A@B.C. This is up to the listmod of the time).

In-Character Restrictions:
The list is the communications between Australasian Kindred (including Singapore). Membership is given to the following:
- At least one City Status, OR
- At least one Covenant Status.

Resources x 1 is required (to represent the outlay required for computer and ongoing costs involved in telephone etc)

Any disputes on membership are resolved by the IC Listmod. Access to the list is given on application to the listmod, via Carthian members or Princes.

List infiltration Policy:
The subscriber list is carefully audited by the listmod each month, ensuring that only appropriate people have access. This can mean, however, that people may gain illegal access by attaining a mimimum of 5 successes on a hacking challenge (can be updated by the listmod every 6 months) during the month to gain access. At the end of the month, the listmod will discover the leak and may act in-character to deal with this intrusion. Typically this will result in the software-death of the infiltrator's computer, however will be dealt with in-character. Infiltrators must have an IC justification for suspecting this list exists, prior to even looking for it in order to be able to infiltrate.

List Banning Policy:
A Kindred may be removed from the list at the discretion of the Listmod, however Princes may apply to the listmod to ask for this to occur.

    You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. This is a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members.
